The Computer Graphics History Institute is built around the Cadmus knowledgebase, architected as both a reference base and a research base. The knowledgebase is built with semantic and graph database technologies. There will be frameworks for research into knowledge based representations of history research into knowledge management. XR will be the primary interaction. However, it will be XR based on cognitive science, staring with Piaget’s theories of cognitive development, and then creating an API to the human cognitive system, and thus the interaction with Cadmus is in itself a research area. So besides being a reference source, the CGHI will itself be a basis for research.
